Regulations

Federal regulations (or rules) are promulgated by Executive Agencies to implement legislation passed by Congress. Proposed and final rules (or regulations) are published in the Federal Register and codified in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Members of the public, such as small business owners, can comment on proposed rules in the Federal Register during public notice and comment. In addition to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), the Small Business Administration has promulgated many regulations directly relevant to small business. Also, The Principal Director of Defense Pricing and Contracting issues class deviations when necessary to allow organizations to deviate from the FAR and DFARS.
